Rug Cleaning in Golden Gate
Collection and delivery in Golden Gate are included. We take the rug back to the workshop, wash it properly, and bring it home.
What Golden Gate is built from
Inland Collier County, about eight miles north-east of Naples: a dense two-mile square of modest concrete-block houses from the 1960s and 1970s laid out in the Gulf American era, with the far larger Golden Gate Estates lots spreading east beyond it.
The most year-round, working and family population on the route, with a much younger median age than the coast. Rugs here are being lived on hard rather than preserved, and they are usually machine-made or hand-tufted rather than hand-knotted.
The Golden Gate problem
Different money, same climate, different damage. These are slab houses carrying a lot of daily traffic, so the wear problem is grit rather than neglect: fine sand comes in on shoes from sandy yards and unpaved shoulders, works down to the base of the pile and cuts the knots from below where nobody sees it. Out in the Estates a great deal of the water is well water and much of it is hard, which leaves mineral deposits behind in any rug that has been spot-cleaned at home — a pale ring that will not vacuum out. And a slab still runs cool and still moves moisture upward, so a rug that has sat in one place for years has a damp side that has never been looked at.
If that sounds like your rug, send the form and describe what you are seeing. We will tell you whether it needs the full treatment or not.
